*Due to covid, our many programs and volunteer opportunities have been put on hold.*

What opportunities do we have that make our school unique??

Buddy Program - Within the school we have a buddy program, where younger children are paired with older children. For example this year, our Grade 1 & 2 class are buddies with the Grade 5 & 6 class.  The students meet every other week and create things together, read together and learn more about each other.  This is a type of mentoring system that fosters a healthy atmosphere and reduces bullying.

Annual September Canoe Trip-
We have had the opportunity to once again enjoy our annual junior high canoe trip. An awesome time where community-building, earth-keeping, creation-enjoying, God-worshipping are experienced in a whole other setting.
Robotics -  RCS offers Robotics  as an extra curricular activity after school hours.
Mission Opportunities - The school provides opportunities for serving in the community, to put our "Faith into Action".  In 2010, 2011 and 2012 students went on a mission trip to Mexicali and in 2014 a trip to El Paso, Texas. In 2015 and 2016, students went to Mexico with Youth Unlimited to build houses and get involved in area service projects.  Students visit the Manor and Long Term Care facilities here in Rimbey for singing, reading and game playing with seniors, lay poppies on veteran graves and and donate food, mittens and toques to the local food bank as well as raising money for different needs in our local  or global community.

Spanish Lessons-  We have also been able to provide Spanish classes to all students through Pastor Ken Vanderploeg who spent many years living and serving in Mexico with his family
