Questions & Answers

Do we need to be a member of a church to attend this playschool?

No, you do not need to have a Christian faith connection to attend the playschool. We respect all families’ beliefs.

Can I attend or pop in to the classroom?

Yes, we have an open door policy. There are certain protocols to school procedures which we can inform you of upon registration.

Do parents need to help in the classroom?

We try to keep volunteering in general to a fair and reasonable amount. It is a necessary thing for success and financial stability. Help is needed for fundraising and occasionally in the classroom, particularly on days of extra special activities such as cooking or field trips. And children often enjoy having their parent as a special guest.

What happens at the parent coffee hour?

Occasionally, a parent coffee hour will be hosted at the school while your playschooler is at class. It is a drop-in style just for fun.  Siblings can attend and they are under your supervision. It’s a great way to get to know others.

Can my child ride the school bus to playschool?

Yes, if you are on the bus route and your child is ready for this experience he/she may come to playschool on the morning run. Our bus drivers are diligent with safety and well being of all children on the journey. Your child would arrive to school around 8:20am and be met by the playschool staff or other supervising teacher. We also have some bus stops inside the town of Rimbey. Contact is Cal Vaartstra to check bus routes.
