Reaching out

The Rimbey Christian School students and community strive to serve others both locally and abroad.  Our motto is Faith in Action-Faithful Education.  We believe that we should show Jesus' love to others whenever possible, so that others may see Him and seek Him, to bring Him all the honor and glory due His name.

El Jordan - A Christian School in Nicaragua

altalt

The grade 5 and 6 class are busy corresponding with students in the El Jordan Christian School in Nicaragua.  The Rimbey Christian School  has supported the building of this school and provided monies for text books over the past couple of years.  Jack and Nicholas Dening stand beside the gate that was purchased with some of the monies received by the school.  The gate protects the students and the school property.  Recently a bake sale was held to raise funds for our continued support of this school.  Below is a portion of the letter we received from a teacher from El Jordan and a student from El Jordan.  As we continue reaching out to this school and these students we are praying that the knowledge and love of God continues to grow in the lives of the students, both here in Rimbey and also in those of Nicaragua.

Teacher

The year 2010 was a blessing for our children and teachers since God sent a representation of Canadian brothers those who constructed the new school El Jordan, this one consists of three classrooms and an office. During this time of work for our community we had never got such a significant donation.

We are grateful to God greatly for having allowed that across this group, we find known to you School of Cristiano of Rimbey so generous and kind persons with our students and teachers.

The money that the School of Cristiano of Rimbey sent to El Jordan, has been of big help since we could buy materials of utility climbing vine every group as the level of schooling.

Student

Thanks for our new school and for the materials and they I give thank you very much for the support to new school we want them very much.

Letters to Soldiers Serving in Afghanistan

Rimbey Christian School students will be writing letters to soldiers who are currently serving in Afghanistan.  Students wish to bring the love of Jesus to these soldiers and to thank them for their willingness to serve in Afghanistan in an attempt to bring peace to the people of this country.  We are hoping that our words of encouragement will bring joy to these men and women and let them know that they are not forgotten and they are in our prayers.
