Robotics - 2nd Place in NAIT Tournament

Rams Robotics is a junior high elective.  Students build their robots, then must manouever them through a course while performing different operations. Students from the school participated in Edmonton at NAIT in the First Lego Robotics Tournament on Saturday, January 21st taking home the 2nd place prize in Robot Performance.  Congratulations team on your excellent work!

Christmas Concert 2011

The students put on a fantastic performance and brought the message of Jesus' birth to everyone through music, singing and drama.  Thanks you students and staff for your hard work to put on this program.  It was truly a blessing!

 

Tickle Trunk Thrift Store Makes Donation

TICKLE TRUNK DELIVERS FIFTH CHEQUE - THANKS TO ALL WHO VOLUNTEER TO HELP IN THIS WAY!

The Tickle Trunk Thrift Store is located on the main street in Rimbey.  It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers.  Monies raised through donations to the Thrift Store go to community organizations, families in need, as well as to the Rimbey Christian School.  Donations of gently used clothing and household items are accepted.  TV's, large appliances and computers are not accepted.  The store is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Everyone enjoyed the Ice Cream Social/Fall Drive Kickoff.  Thanks to the drama students, Ron Knol of Christian Stewardship Services, Scott Ellis who officially kicked off the Fall Drive on behalf of the Fundraising committee, the organizers and ice cream disher uppers, and everyone who came out and enjoyed the event.  A huge thank you to all who generously supported the Usborne Book Fair.  God has provided abundantly, again!  The total sales were....drum roll, please...$2,026.65, resulting in a whopping $606.50 in FREE BOOKS!!! The total sales included 2 entire book series, and 5 individual titles that were purchased specifically for donation to the school library.

School BBQ 2011

One and a half year-old Reuben was having fun at the Rimbey Christian School barbecue and open house held last Tuesday. Classes at the Christian School began last Wednesday for the Kindergarten to Grade 9 school. The school's principal Edith Dening is looking forward to a great year and welcomes the opportunity to provide students with a high quality of Christian education in a safe, loving and joyful environment.
