We were honored to have some members of the Rimbey Legion, men and women who have served in various wartimes, present at our Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Zion Lutheran church on Friday, November 4th. The service included the singing of "O Canada", the playing of "The Last Post", a minute of silence, a message from Pastor Al Lewis, the reading of "In Flanders Fields" by a grade 9 student, a poem written by a grade 5 student of Nova Scotia, a powerpoint presentation featuring all of the relatives of students who have served, the singing of "God Save the Queen", and finally a presentation by the kindergarten students to the veterans with a poppy that they made in class. We thank God for all those who served to bring us our freedoms, and for His great love for us in sending His Son to bring us our ultimate freedom.
