Our Mission
Rimbey Christian School serves parents who desire a high quality of Christian education for their children in a safe, loving and joy-filled environment. The school assists parents in fulfilling their responsibility to raise their children according to the principles of God’s Word.

Parents are the Key
Rimbey Christian School is operated by parents and supporters who make up the Rimbey Christian School Society.
Together, as a society, the parents determine the school’s vision and goals, elect a board and participate in committee work to make their vision a reality.
Parents support the teaching staff through prayer and through volunteer work. Teachers welcome parents into the classrooms to help students with special assignments, to provide extra attention for special needs students, to take care of classroom routines or even to just come for a visit and observe the classrooms.

The Curriculum
Rimbey Christian School, as a fully accredited school, follows the Alberta Provincial Program of Studies. Teachers with Alberta certification present the curriculum from a Christian perspective in which God is acknowledged as the creator and sustainer of the world and in which students are challenged to relate their learning to their faith commitments.
Field trips, buddy programs and chapel assemblies all enhance student learning and develop a spirit of community. Our low student to teacher ratio facilitates greater individual attention.
The school welcomes students with special needs and makes every possible attempt to develop appropriate programs for them.

Our History
In 1986, 25 students were welcomed through the doors of Rimbey Christian School for the first time. These doors were attached to ATCO trailers which served as our school building for the first 3 years. Our present building was constructed on 8 acres within the town of Rimbey in 1989 and has since been expanded to include 9 classrooms, a library and computer lab.
Currently the school enrolment encompasses 95 students with a staff of 7 teachers, 5 classroom aides, a librarian, a music teacher and many parent volunteers.
